As Volunteers
Youth of the world between 18 and 30 years of age with
the spirit and motivation to come to a country in
development and to help with social work in practice.
During this exchange you get the great opportunity to
learn and appreciate the different culture, classes
and social structure, as well as to get improve your
knowledge of the Spanish language.
Cronogram
1-3 weeks intensive courses in Spanish and help in the
HI-Centre in Sucre
3-9 weeks work experience in the village of “El
Villar”
1-3 weeks recommended for travel and adventure on the
routes “Salt and Silver” – “Ché Guevara” or “The Roots

1.In
the regional Hospital of “El Villar”, support services
in the Pharmacy, in the Laboratory and to accompany
the Doctors in their long-distance visits to the
villagers.
2.Basic
and Secondary School of “El Villar,
Be an
assistant for english clases in exchange for
spanish, to improve the
computer
training, to create a library, a room for games and
an infantile park.
3.Environment:
With practical norms, with classification and
treatment of garbage, care of the river, etc.
4.Experience
of the rural life in isolated communities in Bolivia:
Practice in agriculture, an experimental vegetable
garden and the traditional techniques of farming;
help to increase the productivity with solar
and protective tents and tunnels against the cool
nights. (2’300 m high)
5.Forestation
and Reforestation – planting trees
6.Control
of earth erosion, construction of walls for protection
7.Building
small tourist attractions (horse riding – trekking –
camping – fishing) to create value in visits to the
region and as a source of employment and income.
